Serving as a Panel member of the EPSRC Mathematical Sciences Prioritisation Panel May 2024.Description
The prioritisation panel will be managed using the UKRI Funding Service. Panels play an integral part in the peer review process, ensuring that EPSRC sponsors the highest quality research and that the principles of peer review are upheld. The Panel is asked to rank the proposals before them in order of priority for funding based on the reports of the expert reviewers and the applicant’s response. Each proposal will be assigned three panel members to act as ‘introducers’ and they are responsible for summarising the proposal and leading the discussion, before it is opened up to the rest of the panel and an overall grade is agreed. This grade will be used to determine a proposal’s relative ranking and, from this ranked list, EPSRC will then make their final decision on funding.| Period | Feb 2024 → May 2024 |
