Interdisciplinary Research Seminar: Creative methods in health research

Description

University of Aberdeen researchers interested in the topic of creative methods in health research were invited to a research seminar hosting two external researchers working in this field: Prof Ailish Hannigan (University of Limerick, Ireland) presenting “Arts, Data Literacy and Diversity” focusing on creative methods to disseminate health research findings in diverse communities and develop data literacy; and Prof Chris Murray (University of Dundee, Scotland) presenting “Creating Healthcare Comics” focusing on comics studies in healthcare research. The seminar was an opportunity to discuss research ideas related to this field, and for researchers to network and meet colleagues with similar interests.

The seminar took place on the 16th of October from 2-4PM, level 7 of the IMS building (Foresterhill campus).

The seminar is supported by GWW Centre for Art and Visual Culture, and the Interdisciplinary Challenge Areas at the University of Aberdeen. It is organised by Dr Beatriz Goulao (School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition), Dr Silvia Casini (School of Language, Literature, Music and Visual Culture), and Claire Robertson (School of Psychology).
