Description
Part of activities of public engagement through the Scottish Universities Insight Institute. Workshops with P4-7 classes in three Aberdeen schools and one Polish Saturday school in Inverness. Story of Wojtek the Bear Hero (WWII involvement of Polish soldiers in the British Army) and identity formation and integration of Polish children in Scottish schools.
Providing workshops with Polish schools network from Edinburgh, school teachers leading activities in arts and literature, set text for classes Jenny Robertson's Wojtek the Bear Hero. Papier mache model of bear, dance choreography, collages, etc. in Seaton Primary, Sunnybank Primary and Walker Road Torry (all Aberdeen), as well as Inverness Polish Saturday school.
