Responsible for staffing the course, organizing the timetable, and maintaining the course content. Responsible for the organisation of all practical aspects of the course (room booking, students’ attendance etc) and for the preparation, arrangement, delivery, and marking of all the assessments.

Description

This course, a compulsory element of the Undergraduate Certificate in Higher Education in Pre-Medical Studies, will explain the definitions of health and the factors which influence health and develop an understanding of the common causes of morbidity and mortality in the United Kingdom. Students will learn about the range of healthcare provision in the United Kingdom and the sources of health and healthcare information in the United Kingdom.
Students will develop core skills and ability in group work and oral presentation to prepare them for full participation in the Year 1 MB ChB courses.
