Programme Advisory Group for the joint Oil & Gas UK – NERC INSITE programme

Description

This research programme (https://www.insitenorthsea.org/ ) has evolved from being a Joint Industry Programme to a programme sponsored jointly by NERC and Oil & Gas UK with funding from both for different components. It is focussed on understanding the environmental impacts of offshore structures. An essential part of this programme is the Programme Advisory Group (PAG) which doubles as an advisory body for both the Oil and Gas partners and NERC. The objective of the PAG is to ensure that the sponsored research is of the highest standard, but it has an important, impartial role in advising about the shape of the programme. The programme has been in existence for almost 10 years and it is entering a new phase of activity which will sustain it for at least 3-4 more years.
