Covid in Scotland: Most councils failed to challenge pandemic exam system

The vast majority of Scotland’s councils failed to question the overturned exam system that penalised the country’s poorest pupils, it can be revealed.

According to freedom of information responses obtained by Neil McLennan, director of leadership programmes at Aberdeen University, only nine of the country’s 32 local authorities officially raised issues with the approach to either the 2020 or 2021 diets, which were altered because of the pandemic.
