SBE Seedling Matrix Plot Dataset

Description This dataset covers a network of stations placed across the south block of the Sabah Biodiversity Experiment (SBE). Two stations were placed in 54 of the SBE plots spanning the range of monocultures, 4-species mixtures, 16-species mixtures and non-planted controls. The stations are a group of three plots placed in a T-formation between the planting lines of the SBE. Each plot in the station are 1 x 1 m where all seedlings were measured for height, diameter at base (5 cm above the soil) and diameter at breast height (1.3 m, if the seedling had sufficient height). Seedlings were identified to species or genus if possible. Data Access The dataset is only available upon the approval of Dr. Michael O'Brien ([email protected]) and Dr. David Burslem ([email protected]) under the expectation that all authors mentioned here are included as co-authors on any publications that use this dataset.
