CHERI is a research based medical education centre whose focus is on theory-driven research which informs new approaches to teaching and learning, assessment and curriculum design, throughout the continuum of healthcare education. It supports both research which has immediate impact on practice and policy and more theoretical work which paves the way for changing thinking and encompasses both qualitative and quantitative paradigms.
Our vision is to achieve a global reputation for academic excellence in healthcare education research, by supporting high-quality, important research focusing on relevant issues, and developing tomorrow’s researchers.
We do this through active collaborative research partnerships with other undergraduate, postgraduate and vocational healthcare programs locally, nationally and internationally receiving awards from a broad range of funding bodies.
