Abstract

We have applied bacteriophage display technology to construct and analyze the diversity of an IgG library of >1 x 10(8) clones from an adult sheep immunized against the hapten atrazine. We have identified eight new V-H gene families (V(H)2-V(H)9) and five new V kappa gene families (V kappa V-V kappa IX). The heavy and kappa light chain variable region gene loci were found to be far more diverse than previously thought.
