Abstract

Fractures of the wrist or ankle are common reasons for presentation to the Emergency Department (ED) and patients often cite particular weather conditions as aetiologically important. A clearer understanding of any association between meteorological variables and the presentation of these injuries may help guide service planning and resource allocation at different times of the year.
