Abstract

The modern world is increasingly defined and ruled by technology. Digital regulation and governance are issues which garner attention both in academic circles and wider society. Yet the digital world is chaotic and the regulatory schemes which seek to tame it are opaque. Anu Bradford’s most recent book Digital Empires: The Global Battle to Regulate Technology builds on her previous work, The Brussels Effect: How the European Union Rules the World, to bring clarity.
