Abstract

Hydrothermally prepared Ba3V2(HPO4)(6) contains a three-dimensional network of (VO6)-O-III octahedra [d(av)(V-O) = 2.014 (2) Angstrom] and HPO4 [d(av)(P-O) = 1.537 (3) Angstrom] tetrahedra, sharing Vertices. 12-coordinate Ba2+ cations [d(av)(Ba-O) = 2.944 (4) Angstrom] complete the structure.
