Abstract
Natural products have served as a valuable source of lead compounds for anticancer drug discovery over many decades. The search for naturally occurring lead compounds has continued in recent years, with the constituents from marine and extreme environments as well as those of terrestrial microorganisms.
The special issue will focus on the discovery of new anticancer activities of natural products from terrestrial and marine sources and characterization of the biosynthetic pathways of the potent anticancer natural products.
