Abstract
Has copyright anything really to do with dance? Does copyright acknowledge disability? Who controls dance – the choreographer? The dancer? What if there is improvisation? What if changes are made to an established dance to enable it to be performed by a disabled dancer? Does it matter if it is a traditional ballet or a post modern work? And what might all this mean for the increasing number of dance artists, who perform regularly, who have a disability?
