This biography represents a contribution to our current knowledge of feminism in Mexico in the late nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century, which frequently focused on political rights. The thesis is thoroughly documented and supported by images in which we see Laura Méndez de Cuenca at different periods of her life, as well as pictures which help to illustrate her social context.
