title = "Marine Genetic Resources and Digital Sequence Information Under the BBNJ Agreement: Interlinkages with Other Access and Benefit-Sharing Frameworks",
abstract = "The BBNJ Agreement, including its access and benefit-sharing provisions for marine genetic resources and digital sequence information, was negotiated against the backdrop of an existing tapestry of international law. Considerations of potential future interactions with other relevant instruments, frameworks, and bodies have shaped parts of the BBNJ Agreement and such interactions will play an important role in its future successful implementation. This chapter discusses the BBNJ Agreement{\textquoteright}s general approach to regime interaction, highlights several instruments, frameworks, and bodies of particular relevance to the BBNJ negotiations and the future implementation of the BBNJ Agreement, and explores concrete scenarios and possible challenges of future regime interactions.",
