Abstract
We (Wiltshire et al.) are interested in the comments of Dos Santos et al. on our paper, but are rather disappointed that they missed the thrust of our message. We feel that they have either misunderstood its content, or failed to read it properly. The paper's title makes its meaning clear; where criminal investigators have not requested specific toxicological analysis in cases of suspicious death, light microscopy is a useful technique for establishing the presence of psychotropic materials.
