Three-Dimensional Trapping Dynamics of Aerosols Using Laguerre-Gaussian Vortex Beams

Abstract

This study investigates the optical trapping micrometer-sized water aerosols using Laguerre-Gaussian beams. The influence of the azimuthal index on trapping characteristics, equilibrium positions, and trap stiffness is examined. The interplay between aerosol dynamics and LG beam properties provides valuable guidance in optimizing airborne trapping applications.
