Abstract
Using the principles of flammability limits and stoichiometry, the currently accepted value for the flash point of dimethyl ether is shown to be incorrect. A corrected value is calculated, and this is about 40 degreesC lower. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
