Activity

Poster prepared for FAB-GGR project stakeholder meeting

Description

Poster described findings from modelled projections of bioenergy from miscanthus, including:
- That we estimate M giganteus can provide just over 20% of the global bioenergy requirement to satisfy RCP 2.6 climate within 2 degrees C under the SSP2 bioenergy land use scenario by end of century.
- Potential to supply global crop potential of 1.72 Gigatonnes dry matter biomass per year, with soil sequestration potential of 42.9 Megatonnes of carbon per year.
