The twelfth NRB survey (NRB XII) was a nationwide representative sample survey conducted immediately after the Duma election in December, 2003. As is appropriate to a post-election survey, many questions focused on campaign activities and voting behaviour. Questions about President Putin and potential candidates for the presidential election in March 2004 are also included. Given that half the seats in the Duma are elected from single-member districts by a very different ballot than the headlined list system, detailed questions were also asked about how individuals cast both votes. A number of standard NRB trend questions were also included.
