CEMS is an interdisciplinary, cross-school research centre with a remit to promote and support individual and collaborative research that encompasses the study of early modern literature, history, music, philosophy, art history, law, economy, religion and society, making a substantive contribution both to the academic understanding and to a wider debate on the emergence of the modern world across disciplinary and institutional barriers
