Organisation profile

The Centre for Scots Law was created in Autumn 2018 to support research in all fields of Scots law.

Our staff and postgraduate members have expertise across a range of different specialisms, which currently include private law, public law, commercial law, criminal law, justice/evidence, legal history, and Scottish legal culture. Our research extends from black letter law to contextualisation of Scots law within social-legal, political, comparative and historical perspectives.
