Research Overview:

As a Research Impact Officer with the University of Aberdeen, I work with a great team of stakeholders to maximise the potential of the Diet and Health Inequalities (DIO Food) project, funded through the Transforming the UK Food System for Healthy People and a Healthy Environment SPF Programme, delivered by UKRI. My role is to improve communication with stakeholders, including patients and the public, by making research outputs more accessible.

Teaching Overview

I led the University of the Highlands and Islands Exercise Physiology, Training and Nutrition Masters by Research programme from 2019-2023. 

I was a Lecturer in the Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences department at Edinburgh Napier University from 2015-2017, during which time I performed the following roles:

  • Module leader for Level 9 ‘Intermediate Exercise Physiology’ module
  • Module leader for Level 9 ‘Intermediate Exercise Physiology’ module run by PSB Academy, Singapore (Edinburgh Napier University partner institute)
  • Lecturer for Level 11 ‘Clinical Exercise Sciences, Exercise Physiology’ module
  • Lecturer and laboratory demonstrator for Level 8 ‘Introduction to Exercise Physiology’ module
  • Lecturer for Level 7 ‘Application of Science to Sport and Exercise’ module
  • Lecturer for Level 7 ‘Foundations of Sport and Exercise Science’ module
  • Supervise Level 10 Honours project students
