    Biography

    Evangeline is a Medical Education Lecturer in the IEMDS at the University of Aberdeen and has been in this role since 2016. Prior to this Evangeline worked as a Lecturer in Adult Nursing at the Robert Gordon University from 2014. This role involved leading on the delivery of a clinical skills module and supporting the delivery of several other modules throughout undergraduate and postgraduate levels of healthcare education. In 2011 Evangeline began her role in education joining the University of Aberdeen as a Clinical Skills Facilitator for medical and physicians associate students and for doctors, nurses and physicians associates in postgraduate teaching as a UK resuscitation council instructor. Evangeline has a professional qualification in adult nursing having qualified in 2005. Following this she gained clinical experience in acute medical admissions, emergency department and respiratory nursing working as a registered nurse and senior registered nurse during this time. Evangeline completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education and became an associate fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2013 and achieved a PhD in Medical Sciences in 2020. As a Medical Education Lecturer Evangeline has developed and delivers the Masters in Clinical Education programme as a programme coordinator and coordinates a number of courses within this whilst supervising masters project students. The role also involves the responsibility of being course coordinator for a humanities course (Introduction to Medical Education) for undergraduate medical students and supporting medical student research projects. Evangeline has an interest and experience in qualitative research following undertaking research exploring medical student professional identity development as part of her PhD studies.
