Abstract

The online Lesson Study (LS) cycle explored was undertaken in Scotland in 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic, when visitors to schools and inter-classroom visits were discouraged. We concur with R. Huang et al.'s (2021) suggestion that supporting LS in a virtual environment was unprecedented prior to the pandemic as, during the pandemic, it was essential to move LS online to continue collaborative professional learning (Calleja & Camilleri, 2021; Suh et al., 2021; Weaver et al., 2021). However, the developing field of online LS could benefit from further research. Our contribution adds to the understanding of online LS through two lenses: collaboration and facilitation.
