To the Editor:
We have concerns about the integrity of publications from the Yamaguchi Osteoporosis Prevention Study (YOPS) in The American Journal of Medicine (Y1),1 Clinical Endocrinology (Y2),2 and conference abstracts (Y3-Y7)3, 4, 5, 6, 7 (see Table). Y2 specifically cites Y1 in referring to trial methodology, so its data were generated from the same trial.
