Abstract

We read with interest the article by Brunt and Gale-Grant where they describe the evolution of telepsychiatry over some 50 years, which was of course accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Their review demonstrates that, in the research to date, telepsychiatry has been found to be non-inferior to face-to-face assessment. Put another way a remote assessment has been as good as face-to-face appointments.
