Abstract
The SAS/GRAPH graphics software package includes a comprehensive set of cartographic procedures of interest to both the geographic and cartographic communities. One requirement of any successful computer-assisted mapping package is the capability for creating a wide variety of symbols for thematic mapping tasks. This paper describes the use of the GFONT procedure to create a variety of symbols for a series of maps depicting the 1967 Arab-Israel Six Day War. -from Authors
