Abstract
Once again it is my pleasure to write the editorial for the first issue of the New Year. 2022! Of course, as I write this it is still the end of 2021 and who knows whether my thoughts today will still be relevant by the time this issue is published in February? This time last year I was writing in the expectation that the COVID-19 pandemic was nearing an end as vaccinations were being rolled out. This was not just here in Scotland, where I am based, but much of the world, although of course there has been a lot of inequality which we have struggled as a global community to address....
