Abstract

This volume is a combined sourcebook and textbook, designed for undergraduate students coming to terms with the historical study of early Christian literature. It includes all the writings of the New Testament, but arranged chronologically and grouped by historical criteria, several other early texts (Barnabas, Didache, Coptic Thomas, Ignatius' letters, 1 Clement), the equivalent of a textbook in sectional introductions, as well as detailed and introductions and notes for each primary text.
