Editorial: British Journal for the History of Philosophy - Volume 21, Issue 2

It gives me great pleasure to announce the winners of two Prizes that are awarded this year. The Rogers Prize, which was established in 2011 in honour of the work of the founding editor of theBJHP, John Rogers, is awarded each year for the best paper published in the journal in the previous twelve months. The Prize of £1000, jointly funded by the British Society for the History of Philosophy (BSHP) and the publisher of theBJHP, Taylor & Francis, is judged by a committee composed of the Editor and Associate Editors of the journal. The award for 2012 goes to Sukjae Lee of Seoul National University for his paper,‘Berkeley on the Activity of Spirits’, pub- lished in 20.3. The committee also highly recommended‘Malebranche, the Quietists, and Freedom’, by Julie Walsh and Thomas M. Lennon of the Uni- versity of Western Ontario, published in 2011.
