N2 - Working with teachers and supporting them to develop necessitates sharing of information. Often this means sharing multiple documents and files with teachers and ensuring they are accessible. Due to university online security measures, sharing information, especially with temporary teachers, is often fraught. Microsoft OneNote offers a central repository for materials, inductions, observations and CPD, making managing teaching teams easier. This presentation aims to demonstrate the utility of OneNote for supporting teachers by showing how to set up a notebook in OneNote and sharing it with teachers. The presentation will then focus on specific ways OneNote can be used to support teachers: • For teachers new to EAP or the institution, OneNote can be used during the induction and teachers can refer back to the information. • For course coordination, materials can be uploaded to the notebook to make materials easily accessible to teachers. This reduces the preparation time for teachers enabling them to spend more time focusing on teaching. • OneNote has a collaboration space which teachers can use to exchange teaching ideas and strategies. Sharing information engenders a community of practice which is key to teacher support and team development. There are also private spaces in OneNote which means that observations and feedback can be shared between a teacher and the observer. This offers the ability for teaches and observers to look back over the observation feedback previously given, meaning monitoring progress is quick and straightforward.
