Abstract
A gravity and magnetic data survey (DACIA PLAN GRAV MAN S - Danube and Carpathian Integrated Action on Processes in the Lithosphere and Neotectonics Gravity and Magnetic Survey) was conducted on the same path of the seismic profile in order to infer upper crustal structure, basement affinities and their tectonic implications of the south-eastern Carpathians and Focsani Basin. Preliminary potential fields models sustains so far previously statements regarding basement involvement in the Carpathian thrusting and ongoing uplift and subsidence of the linked orogeny and its foreland basin (as part of a larger and complex Pannonian-Carpathian system).
