Abstract

This special virtual issue is predominantly based on papers presented at the International Conference on Engineering Vibration 2020, which was organized by the Centre for Applied Dynamics Research (CADR) at the University of Aberdeen and held online between 14 and 16 December 2020. Originally, this conference was planned to be held physically in August 2020 in Aberdeen, also to celebrate the 60th birthday of Professor Marian Wiercigroch, the founder of the CADR. However, due to the COVID pandemic, it had to be postponed and was moved to online format and then delayed by various reasons
