Abstract

Phaeanthus vietnamensis Ban, an endemic species in Vietnam, belongs to Annonaceae family. P. vietnamensis has been used in oriental medicine for the treatment of various inflammatory diseases.[1] The phytochemical investigations of this genus indicated the presence of alkaloids,[2] sesquiterpene, and lignans.[3] In addition, compounds exhibited anti-inflammatory activity.[3] This study deals with the isolation and structure identification of three new and one known benzylisoquinoline alkaloids from acidic extract of the leaves of P. vietnamensis...
