Abstract

In this paper, we demonstrate the supercontinuum generation in a silicon nanowire embedded photonic crystal fiber (SN-PCF) using fully-vectorial finite element method. The variation of supercontinuum is investigated by changing the fiber length, pump peak power and pump wavelength. The proposed fiber exhibits broad spectrum of more than 2200nm within 2mm length of fiber for peak power of 500W of input pulse.
