Abstract
We present a novel methodology for manipulating sources in a knowledge integration scenario. First we define and exploit an appropriate data model for representing and querying the data sources. Second we propose a structured integration methodology which combines views on the sources without having to align their background knowledge. Our work it provides a novel approach to integration via ``materialized views', it frees the system from having to align the sources itself --- as in traditional integration systems --- and it benefits from graph mechanisms that are used in a formal manner.
