Twenty Years of the British Journal for the History of Philosophy

The first issue of this twenty-first volume marks an important transition in the life of theBJHP. It contains the first articles that were submitted and accepted through the online system that was introduced in October 2010, which is when I took over as Acting Editor, succeeding John Rogers as Editor, officially, in March 2011. At that time, there was a backlog of papers, and the last of these were finally published in the sixth issue of last year. This means that John’s influence as Founding Editor has in fact extended through the whole of the first 20 volumes of the journal. I have asked John to report on his time as Editor, and this report will be published, I hope, later this year.
