Organisation profile

Our Academic Groups, who all function under the umbrella of the IAHS, covers specialties in methodological areas of research (including health services research, health psychology, health economics, epidemiology, medical statistics), and focusses on the clinical topics of musculoskeletal disease (including chronic pain), reproductive health, respiratory disease, urology, renal medicine and cancer.

An important element of our work is ensuring that it has impact outside academia: this can involve, for example, informing public policy debates and subsequent policy or providing evidence on the effectiveness and safety of specific managements for patients.
