Abstract

The start of the 18th century witnesses the elevation of Prussia to monarchic status, a reflection of the Hohenzollern dynasty within the Empire as well as in Central Europe. the books makes available for the first time a selection of source materials relating to these developments and sheds a light on the cultural and political processes which founded and accompanied the rise of Prussia as a kingdom.
